The Main House
Attached Building

Vientiane Home: Here are a couple of pictures of the house I am living in. The lower level is basically one large room. Along the back wall is a bathroom (right after the door), a stairway and a small room mom uses as a wardrobe room. There is a small kitchenette attached on the side facing the back of the building seen on the left side of the first picture. Mom sleeps in a sectioned off portion of the large, lower room. There is also a seating area and a large dining room table in the big room.

Peep and I stay upstairs. Entering from across the brigde through yellow exterior door, there is a large room splitting the upstairs in two. To the right of the center room there are steps and a master bedroom, where Peep and I stay. To the left there are two more, smaller bedrooms with a bathroom between them. The bathroom window, as well as the blue waste pipe, can be seen in the first picture. Going straight through the center room, there is a door leading to a covered balcony, which sits atop the kitchenette.

The building attached to the main house is where Paap, Peep's older brother, and Pang, our hired help, stay. Paap lives in the front section, which has an enclosed patio attached. Pang, who keeps watch over the house and helps with some cleaning, has a bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom, all on the first floor as well. The second level rooms are currently being used for storage. Continuing under the bridge around the back of the house are two carports.

The house is framed on two sides by the Soukmixay Building, which is in the shape of an "L" and can be seen on the left side of the first picture.
