Soukmixay Building: The Soukmixay building sits on the busy Phonthan road that used to be in the front of the house and does a good job blocking much of the noise from the road from reaching the house. It has seven small units and one large unit. The first small unit on the end is Paap's and the second unit is Peep's and mine. Both units are currently rented out.
The next four units were sold to defray some of the construction costs, and part of an extended family all lives there, including a small boy. One lady (the boys mother) bakes cookies and sells them at nearby shops. Two of the units were combined and a skin care business is in operation there. The final small unit is Poup's and is being rented. The tenent operates a computer shop on the ground level.
The large unit occupies the entire small wing of the building. Lao HMO was on the ground floor but recently moved to a smaller building. A new renter will be occupying the space at the end of 2008. The second and third floors are being rented by a Chinese construction company.
