Haw Phra Kaew: This museum of Buddha statues is a former Temple and used to be home to the Emerald Buddha. The Emerald Buddha was captured by the Siamese army and taken back to Siam, eventually making its way to Bangkok, where it now resides. The original building was later destroyed by the Siamese in a subsequent war with Laos, but was eventually rebuilt.
