Brisbane City Hall
Parliament House Green Chamber

City Hall and Parliament House: We woke up early, packed our bags, and caught a shuttle to the airport for our flight to Brisbane. We took a train from the airport into the city and walked the rest of the way to our hotel. After checking in, we went to city hall and rode the elevator to the top of its clock tower. We then went on to visit our fourth, and final, Parliament House of the trip. Queensland is unique among the Australian states in that it has only one legislative house, the upper house having been disbanded. They now use the red chamber for ceremonial purposes and council meetings.

South Bank: We then headed across the river to the South Bank and strolled up and down its walkways. Peep wanted to show me a series of cascading pools of water she had fallen in love with the first time she was there. After a couple of trips along the walkways, we figured they were removed and replaced with a swimming pool and beach area.

After some souvenir shopping (the souvenir shops being the only stores open past 4 p.m. on a Sunday), Peep and I went to see another movie, "Shooter". It happened to be showing on the IMAX screen at the theater.
