Shrine of Rememberance

Shrine of Rememberance: We were led through the shrine by one of the tour guides and participated in a moment of silence to honor members of the Australian Armed Forces killed in battle.

Melbourne Museum: Our next stop was to be at the National Gallery of Victoria, but they were closed on Tuesdays, so we instead headed to the Melbourne Museum.

In the museum, we saw an expansive display on Aboriginal culture in the Bunjilanka Aboriginal Centre. We also saw some artifacts from Melbourne in the Australia Gallery and displays on the human body in the Mind and Body Gallery.

We then made our way to the IMAX theater located in the museum to watch "Night in the Museum".

Dinner: Before heading back for the evening, we had plans to meet up with Peep's cousin, who is studying in Melbourne. We met around six and she treated us to dinner at a Korean restaurant. Her mother had given us something to take to her, but Peep left it at the hostel. Fortunately, the hostel was near a train station which happened to be on her way home, so she wasn't delayed too long accompanying us back to pick it up before returning home so she could study for an exam she had the following day.
