Blue Mountains: After breakfast, we headed over to the train station and purchased a combination ticket for the round trip train ride to the Blue Mountains and a shuttle bus service once we were there. The train ride took about two hours, so we arrived mid-morning and started admiring the breathtaking views of the natural wonder. We gazed upon the Three Sisters rock formation, descended to the valley floor on the world's steepest railway and came back out on a cable car. We took a path down to the bridge leading over to the first "Sister" and then descended the Giant Stairway back to the valley floor. The Giant Stairway is said to contain 1,000 steps. Although I doubt there were that many, there were a lot. We hiked on a primitive trail along the valley floor before ascending another set of steps, admiring the wilderness and waterfalls throughout.
We caught the bus to the next lookout before continuing on to the train station for the ride back to Sydney.
