Ben Thanh Market

Ben Thanh Market: On our last full day in Ho Chi Minh City Peep worked the trade show for the first half of the day. I waited in the hotel for her return before heading out to the Ben Thanh Market. Located in the central city district, it is one of the most famous markets in Ho Chi Minh City for tourists. There was a wide assortment of souvenirs, clothes and food for sale. Peep was hungry and purchased a couple mangos and some other fruit. We didn't see any souvenirs we were real impressed with, so we returned to the hotel practically empty handed, apart from the fruit Peep had purchased. After snacking on her recent purchase Peep fell fast asleep. We then went out to eat for dinner and came back to pack for the return trip early the next day.

The Trip Home: We took our last ride through the city Monday morning as we approached the airport for our flight home. The flight was a mirror image of our flight to Ho Chi Minh City, with a stopover in Phnom Phen, Cambodia. When we touched down in Vientiane, Peep's mom and her friend were already waiting for us at the airport.
