Hawaii Trip: My sister Becky and her family are Disney Club members and have taken many trips to Disney World in Florida, and have recently started using their membership to visit other Disney vacation destinations, such as the Disney Cruise. This year, for their kids' Spring Break, they decided to visit Disney's Aulani Resort and Spa on the island of Oahu. Since there are a total of six members of thier family, and the standard rooms only accommodate four guests, the best deal for them was to get two rooms. That meant two open spaces were available and, as luck would have it, Peep and I were able to join them.

View from Halona Blow Hole Lookout

Halona Blow Hole: After three plane rides and an overnight stay in Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport, Peep and I touched down at Honolulu International Airport, made our way though immigration, picked up our rental car and found ourselves on the road ready to start seeing the sights of Hawaii. Our first stop was at Halona Blow Hole, which was inactive during our visit, apart from a few minimal bursts of mist. However, we still spent some time enjoying the beautiful Hawaiian scenery from the lookout point. After our long trip to the island, I was eager to find a place to stretch my legs, but Peep didn't feel like doing anything, so I aimlessly drove around while Peep napped in the passenger seat.

Sailboat on Beach

Waikiki Beach: After several hours of driving, Peep woke up and we stopped at a local grocery store to purchase water and some snacks to be consumed later on during our vacation. We then found a Tony Roma's for a late lunch. After driving along Waikiki Beach we reached the far eastern end, pulled into the park located there and, fortunately, found an open parking spot. We got out and walked the full length of the beach and back again before getting back into the car and heading to Manoa Valley Inn, a bed and breakfast at which we had reserved a room for the night. My sister and her family would not arrive until the next day, but we had to come earlier due to the limited available flights. After checking in and dropping off our luggage in our room, we headed out to a local burger joint for supper before heading back to the B&B to retire for the night.
