Our trip to Xieng Khouang province was a short one due to the availability of flights. Not wanting to stay several days, we decided to arrive in the afternoon on one day and leave in the morning on the following day. This did not leave us much time for sightseeing.
Hot Springs: After arriving and checking into our hotel, we headed to the hot springs. On the way we passed mountains covered with bright yellow flowers. By the time we reached the site of the hot springs, it was dusk so we were unable to see the spot where the water emerges from underground. We did, however, take the opportunity to soak in the water from the springs in private baths.
After our soak, we returned to Phonsavan, the main city in Xieng Khouang, for dinner, where we tried goat meat, before heading back to the hotel.
